“Bubbles, Chalk, and Summertime Magic”

Nov 30, 2025

Looking back at these moments from this past summer, I can almost feel that warm, easy breeze again. The kind of day where time slows down just enough for childhood to take the lead.

The sidewalk became a canvas, covered in bright chalk lines and shapes that only the kids could truly interpret. Their laughter carried across the yard, and bubbles drifted into the air—catching the sunlight in colors I swear I couldn’t recreate if I tried.

As a photographer, I love freezing these tiny slices of life: chalk-dusted knees, tangled curls, little hands working so seriously to blow the biggest bubble they can. When I look at these images now, I’m reminded that the magic of summer isn’t always in the big adventures—it’s right here in the simple, ordinary moments outside our own front door.

These photos are a reminder to myself: childhood moves quickly, but memories like this… they linger, just like the chalk art that stayed on our sidewalk long after the day had passed.
