Every fall, there are a few sessions that feel extra special to me. The ones that remind me why I picked up a camera in the first place. This sweet family is one of them.
I have had the honor of photographing them year after year, and watching families grow through my lens never gets old. Seeing familiar smiles step out of the car, hearing the boys laugh before we even start shooting, and catching up like old friends always makes these sessions feel less like work and more like time spent with people I truly care about.
We were gifted the most beautiful fall evening. Soft golden light filtered through the trees while leaves scattered across the grass created the perfect backdrop for moments that felt natural and full of life. The boys were as fun and playful as ever. Full of energy, full of personality, and completely themselves. Those are always my favorite sessions because nothing feels forced. Just genuine connection.
Some of my favorite moments happen between the posed photos. Watching the boys run back to mom for hugs, hearing laughter fill the space, and seeing everyone settle into those quiet, loving moments together is what makes sessions like this so meaningful. Those are the memories families will hold onto for years to come.
I am incredibly grateful for families who continue to trust me year after year to capture their memories. Getting to watch these boys grow, see their personalities shine, and document the love they share is something I never take for granted. Sessions like this remind me that photography is about more than beautiful images. It is about preserving a season of life that passes far too quickly.
